June 11 Fishing Update

Our first full week at the Mossy Ridge Lodge has come to a close. We had good weather at first then the last couple of days there were very large swells down the coast, I would guess 12’ swells. Our nice hot summer sunshine seems to maybe be slipping away it is currently raining and has been doing this off and on for the past few days.

King salmon are in down the coast. They are deep like normal 100’ on the down rigger. Lots of small ones being reported, but also some nice 33” kings also. Halibut are also doing good. Yesterday we had a 167 lb halibut come in. We are catching halibut on the inside waters and outside water. A couple of chum this week, we also saw our first pink salmon and a few Silvers.
