June 28th Fishing Update

Wow what an awesome week. I get asked all the time when is the best time to fish up here? The answer today is - RIGHT NOW - !!! I really think the best time to fish is the last two weeks of June. There is just nothing that compares to catching a King. And the halibut seem to be hungry right now.

King Salmon - Down the coast is really hot. Many Kings caught this week. Nearly 100 feet on the down rigger seems to be the depth. White hoochie * Spoons were working the best.

Halibut - 132 lbs was the biggest this week. Many limits of halibut this week. They were caught in the outside waters as well the inside waters. We had some bigger tides to deal with this week. If the halibut fishing remains this good there will be some records set this year.
