These are a few of the hotels in Juneau where we have stayed, others are available but I have no personal comments. If you are planning to stay after fishing make sure you choose a hotel with a freezer; per box nightly fees apply.

Aspen Hotel and Suites - (907) 500 - 7700

New hotel, no shuttle, no freezer, no restaurant, near the airport but a bit of a walk. We have negotiated a "Waters Edge Guest" room rate just mention you are with us.

Best Western Country Lane Inn - (907) 789 - 5005

Great shuttle service, freezer onsite, newly remodeled, restaurants within walking distance, near the airport. 

"I am a fan of Best Western, but they are often booked. There is an additional Best Western located “Down Town” I have not stayed there but have heard good things." ~ Mama Mary 

Travel Lodge - (907) 789-9700

Older hotel but clean, freezer onsite, shuttle, restaurant, near the airport.

"The restaurant and Sunday brunch here is pretty tasty." ~ Mama Mary 

Frontier Suites - (907) 790-6600

Older hotel but clean, freezer onsite, shuttle, restaurant

"Great larger rooms for families and awesome customer service." ~ Mama Mary 

Super 8 - (907) 789-4858

Newly remodeled, shuttle service, freezer onsite, next door to McDonalds and other restaurants within walking distance.

"The hotel is comfortable and across the street from the best doughnuts in town...can't go wrong there." ~ Mama Mary 

Best Western ~ Baranof Hotel Downtown - (907) 586-2660

Nice Hotel downtown Juneau, no shuttle or freezer. Walking distance to many of the sites downtown and restaurant onsite.

Extended Stay –  (800) 804 - 3724

Limited shuttle, no freezer, nearest the airport.

Car rentals - The Juneau airport has vehicles to rent; there are some local rental places (which may be an adventure).

City Bus - For a true Juneau experience, keep your valuables hidden and plan for extra time for your trip, lots of extra time.

Tracy Arm Tours

There are several options for this tour; the internet is the best option for information.

 

"This is a day cruise that takes you right up to tidewater Glaciers. This is an amazing tour and everyone raves about it." ~ Mama Mary

"If the weather is good this is an amazing trip up the mountain looking over Juneau.  There are different hikes of varying difficulty on top of the mountain.  Last time we were up there they had some injured Eagles you could get close to and take pictures." ~ Mama Mary
 

Juneau DIPAC Hatchery

Downtown Juneau

"It is fun to wander around downtown Juneau with its gold rush era feeling and souvenir shops. The cruise ship season is uncertain so be aware some shops may not be open." ~ Mama Mary 

Alaskan Fudge Company (Mary's Favorite -"get the chocolates!")

Fish Box Storage

Alaska Seaplanes - (907) 789-3331

Located in the Juneau airport and has a freezer onsite.  Space for fish boxes is based on availability and needs to be arranged before your departure from the lodge.  They open at 4:30am during the summer.
